Better Peers, LLC (“Better Peers,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Better Peers platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our peer coaching coordination service.

Better Peers is a platform for coordinating peer coaching practice. We do not certify, validate, or approve coaching hours for any credentialing body, including the International Coaching Federation (ICF), EMCC Global, or the Association for Coaching (AC).

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile information you choose to provide.

Profile Information

This may include coaching education, credentials, accreditation path, focus areas, time zone, availability, and scheduling preferences.

Session Log Information

We collect information you choose to log about coaching sessions, including session dates, duration, peer name, and optional session notes. We do not require users to include sensitive personal information in session notes. Users are responsible for the content they choose to log.

Usage Data

We automatically collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, access times, pages viewed, and feature usage.

Payment Information

Payment information is processed through third party payment providers. We do not store full credit card numbers.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain login sessions, remember user preferences, and analyze platform performance and usage. You may control cookies through your browser settings.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA and UK Users)

If you are located in the EEA or UK, we process your personal information under the following lawful bases: performance of a contract to provide your account, matching services, and session logging tools; legitimate interests to improve the platform, prevent fraud, and ensure security; consent where required for optional communications or non essential cookies; and legal obligation where required by law.

We use your information to create and maintain your account, match you with compatible peer coaches, facilitate communication between matched peers, provide session logging and tracking tools, process payments and manage subscriptions, send service related communications, improve and optimize the platform, maintain platform security and prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Information Sharing

With Matched Peers

When matched, we share relevant profile information such as name, contact details, availability, and coaching focus areas with your peer.

Service Providers

We share information with trusted third party service providers who assist with hosting, analytics, payment processing, email delivery, and customer support. These providers process data under contractual obligations.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of Better Peers or its users.

Business Transfers

If Better Peers is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6. International Data Transfers

Better Peers operates in the United States. If you access the platform from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other jurisdictions. Where required by law, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for international data transfers.

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide services. After account deletion, we may retain limited information for legal compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or legitimate business purposes.

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by CPRA, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, the right to opt out of the sale of personal information, and the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information.

We do not sell or share personal information for cross context behavioral advertising.

10. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

11. Children's Privacy

Better Peers is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
